Small wonders around us

The magic of autumn

I won’t be original to tell that my favorite time of the year is autumn. There is something magical and hypnotizing in the way nature changes by the day. The green freshness of summer sips away giving path to plentiful colors of autumn. Its palette is amazing and inspiring. And it impresses you even more when you realize that in a few weeks all this splendor will be gone. The trees will stand naked and lifeless, swaying silently in the winter wind, and flower beds will be covered with snow. When you think about that, you understand that you can’t waste a single day of this fleeting beauty. I’m not a very outgoing person, but you’ll hardly find me at home in autumn. This is the only time of the year that can drag me out of my cozy cocoon and send me roaming the park, gazing at multihued leaves and breathing in fresh chilly air… And even when autumn ends, I can still relish in its magic a bit longer with wonderful pictures by Leonid Afremov!

An artist worth your attention

Who is this person, you’ll ask. Leonid Afremov is one of the many contemporary artists - and one of the most amazing ones. His website is full of incredible pictures that will stun you with vivid colors and inspiring images. As you probably guessed, there is one thing I and Mr. Afremov have in common: we both love autumn. Fall sceneries take up a sizable part of his collection. If you take your time and look through it, you will discover:

Is it any wonder I chose works by this very artist to decorate my home? His pictures are like windows to autumn I can always look into. A lonely lantern glowing in the park, a mysteriously shimmering river, a happy couple strolling under an umbrella… All these small, seemingly insignificant images perfectly convey the romance of the moment. Talking about Leonid Afremov, winter and spring landscapes here should also be mentioned. He is good at depicting any season. And not only that. In his online gallery you’ll find a lot of still lifes and portraits, all painted in the same manner. It’s not easy to choose a canvas that will suit your interior best among such a great number of beautiful pictures. But if you want to make your apartment really cozy and bright, Leonid Afremov winter paintings, spring landscapes and autumn cityscapes will work like a miracle!
